Kengroo ("Kengroo," "we," "us," or "our") operates kengroo.com and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Kengroo is a curated technical talent network designed to help professionals discover relevant opportunities and help companies find technical talent across full-time, contract, fractional, advisory, part-time, and other professional engagements.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we disclose it, and the choices available to you.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect information that you provide directly to Kengroo and information generated through your use of our Services.

Depending on how you use Kengroo, this may include:

• Name and email address
• Location
• Contact information
• Employment and professional history
• Education
• Skills and technical capabilities
• Job titles and experience
• Professional interests
• Projects and accomplishments
• LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio, personal website, or other professional profile links
• Résumés or other professional materials you choose to provide

• Full-time, contract, fractional, advisory, part-time, or other engagement preferences
• Location and remote-work preferences
• Compensation or rate expectations
• Information about the kinds of opportunities you are interested in

If you use Kengroo on behalf of a company, we may also collect:

• Hiring needs
• Role requirements
• Project descriptions
• Technical or capability requirements
• Engagement preferences
• Compensation or budget information
• Other information you choose to provide about your organization or needs

We may also collect information you provide when communicating with us, requesting support, responding to potential opportunities, or providing feedback.

3. Professional Profile Links

If you add a LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio, personal website, or similar link to your profile, we store it as a reference citation, visible to our team and, once an introduction is made, to the relevant company. Kengroo does not currently fetch, scrape, or parse the content of those pages — your Kengroo profile is built from the résumé you upload and the information you enter directly.

We do not currently supplement your profile with information from other public sources. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy first.

4. Information Generated Using Artificial Intelligence

Kengroo may use artificial intelligence and other automated systems to organize, summarize, classify, and understand professional information and company requirements.

These systems may generate or infer information such as:

• Skills and areas of expertise
• Technical capabilities
• Professional domains
• Experience or seniority
• Relevant engagement types
• Career interests
• Potential compatibility with opportunities
• Potential compatibility between professionals and company needs

AI-generated information may be incomplete or inaccurate. Where appropriate, we allow users to review, correct, or supplement information generated about them before it's shared with anyone.

Kengroo also uses human review as part of its curation and matching process — a person reviews every profile and every match before it's shared.

5. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

• Create and maintain Kengroo profiles
• Provide and operate the Services
• Understand professional experience, capabilities, and interests
• Understand company hiring and project needs
• Identify potentially relevant professionals and opportunities
• Generate potential matches and recommendations
• Review and curate potential matches
• Facilitate introductions between professionals and companies
• Communicate with you about relevant opportunities or professionals
• Respond to questions and provide support
• Improve the Kengroo product and user experience
• Monitor and protect the security of the Services
• Detect fraud, abuse, and misuse
• Comply with applicable law
• Enforce our agreements and policies

6. Profile Privacy and Introductions

Kengroo is designed as a curated network rather than a publicly searchable résumé database.

Your name, résumé, and contact details are never public. Kengroo does show anonymized talent summaries in our public Talent Directory — a headline, skills, and availability, with no name or contact information — so companies can see the kind of people in the network.

By joining the talent network and having your profile published, you authorize Kengroo to identify and facilitate introductions with companies we curate as a potential fit — you do not need to separately approve each individual introduction. Your identity and contact details are only shared with a company as part of a specific introduction Kengroo facilitates, never published or broadcast publicly.

Information you authorize us to share as part of an introduction may subsequently be retained by that company.

7. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances.

Introductions

As part of a Kengroo-facilitated introduction, we provide relevant information to the matched professional or company as described in Section 6.

Service Providers

We may use third-party service providers to help operate Kengroo, including providers of:

• Cloud hosting and infrastructure
• Databases
• Authentication
• Email and communications
• Artificial intelligence and machine-learning services
• Security
• Customer support and other business services

These providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services.

Legal and Safety Purposes

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law or legal process
• Protect our users or others
• Investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
• Protect Kengroo's rights or property
• Enforce our Terms of Use

Business Transactions

Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, formation or transfer of a business entity operating Kengroo, or similar transaction.

8. Sale of Personal Information

Kengroo does not sell your personal information for money.

We do not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.

9. Product Improvement

Kengroo may use information and interactions with the Services to operate, evaluate, secure, and improve the Services, including the systems used to organize information and recommend potential matches. We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, research, and product improvement.

We do not sell talent profiles or personal information as datasets to third parties.

10. Cookies and Usage Information

Kengroo does not currently use cookies or similar technologies for advertising or cross-site tracking. When you use the Services, we and our infrastructure providers automatically collect standard technical information — such as IP address, browser and device information, and pages viewed — needed to operate and secure the site.

11. Your Choices and Rights

You may contact us to request that we:

• Provide information about personal information we maintain about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your Kengroo account or certain personal information
• Update your professional preferences
• Stop contacting you about opportunities

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights.

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights available to you under applicable law.

12. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain accounts, facilitate potential opportunities, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our agreements.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary for these purposes, we may delete or de-identify it.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

However, no online service or data-storage system can guarantee absolute security.

14. Children

Kengroo is intended for professional users who are at least 18 years old.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through the Services.

15. Third-Party Services

Kengroo may contain links to or interact with third-party websites and services, including professional networking sites, portfolio sites, and company websites.

Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Kengroo is not responsible for their privacy practices.

16. Background Checks

Kengroo is a talent discovery, matching, and introduction service.

Kengroo is not intended to operate as a consumer reporting agency or provide consumer reports, employment background checks, credit reports, criminal-history reports, or similar regulated screening services.

Information obtained through Kengroo should not be used as a substitute for legally required employment screening, credential verification, background checks, or other compliance processes.

17. International Users

Kengroo currently operates from the United States.

If you access the Services from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Additional rights may apply depending on your jurisdiction.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Kengroo and its Services evolve.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
